The Teikyo Committee in Collingwood helps to welcome the Collingwood Teikyo students, who come over from Japan to learn English. The students stay for between 4 and 10 months, in which time they are allocated to a hill college. This year we have 17 Teikyo students at Collingwood. This is one of the most active and enjoyable committees; all you need to do is be friendly and welcoming, and it's a great way of making new friends and learning a bit about Japanese culture. Members of the Teikyo Committee become Teikyo parents (very similar to fresher parents!) and the friendships made through this are often life-long relationships! So if you can be friendly face and want to make new friends yourself, while helping to organise lots of fun events, join the Collingwood College Teikyo Committee!
