Volunteers needed for the Green Move Out!
We’re looking for students to help deliver leaflets and recycling bags to student accommodation around Durham City from 17th June, in preparation for the Green Move Out. Could you give your time to help Durham University be eco friendly and ensure unwanted items are donated, rather than thrown away?

Durham University Volunteering Awards 2020
Nominations for this year’s Volunteering Awards have now closed! The judging panel are busy reviewing all the nominations and deciding on the shortlists for each category. All nominees will be informed soon and we’ll be hosting an online ‘awards ceremony’ on Wednesday 24th June. Full details to be announced soon – watch this space!
Community Fun Day
We will be hosting the annual Community Fun Day in June, to give members of the local community the chance to sample some of the regular activities and events provided by Durham University, our students and our community partners.
Many students were involved last year and helped to make the day a huge success. Due to the current situation, this year’s Community Fun Day will be hosted online on Saturday 20th June.
We’re looking for student groups or Societies to be involved in this event, either live on the day itself or by producing content in advance to be hosted on the web page. It’s time to get creative! Could you produce engaging online content (such as videos, printable resources etc.) to give the community the chance to try or watch interactive experiences such as music, theatre, sports, dance, arts, crafts, science and more? The more entertaining, interactive and fun your activity can be, the better!
If you’d like to get involved, or want to know more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We want your feedback
If you’ve volunteered with a DUSVO project this year, we’d love to get your feedback. All feedback is anonymous, all we ask is for the project you took part in so we can aim on improving it further.
