Come to the Queen’s Campus SCA Volunteering Fair today, 4-6PM in A011, Holliday Building. With projects ranging from tutoring to dog walking, teaching assistants to a residential camp for kids, there is something for everyone!
This years Experience Durham fairs will be on Tuesday 4th October (13:00-18:00) and Wednesday 5th October (10:00-16:00)! Meet our Project Leaders, our Exec and our Staff! All of our SCA Volunteering projects will be there on the day, and with a range of different projects from Residential camps for kids, Dog Walking, Teaching Assistants, Language classes and many more, you do not want to miss out! It is the 1st September today, and that means it is only 32 days until term starts at Durham University! To celebrate, we challenge you to get your aprons on and release the inner Mary Berry in you with our project of the week… Free Cakes for Kids!!
Free Cakes for Kids is a community service for families who find it difficult to provide a birthday cake for their child. The cakes are baked by volunteers in the child’s favourite theme or style. So if you’re a keen baker and just can’t eat anymore, get in touch!

The job of Queen’s campus officer is now open! This is a one year role working for SCA, starting in the Summer. The role is based in Queen’s campus 4 days a week and Durham one day a week in term time and in Durham Campus during holidays. The role is gives recent graduates a chance to develop volunteer management and a great opportunity for event planning including planning training for over 800 volunteers each year.Deadline for applications is 9am, Friday 5th June.
