Edging footpaths and brashing in the botanics

There are lots of tasks to crack on with in the woods. Our two main activities will be tidying up the woodland footpath by placing some logs along the edges of the path, and cutting the lower branches off some trees on the Josephine Butler side of the stream. This is called "brashing", and is used to improve views, make the woods feel lighter and to enable easy access under the trees.

We'll meet at the main entrance to the botanical gardens at 10.30 or 1.30. Tea or coffee will be provided.
