Card Games

We have no shortage of card games players. ‘Magic the Gathering‘ is easily the most popular game, but quite a few people have yu-gi-oh and Pokemon decks stashed away. The president owns several decks for the out of print ‘Vampire: The Eternal Struggle’, and will happily reward anyone who can teach him how to play.

Over the past year, we have run a ton of Magic events including drafts of the latest sets, our own prerelease, drafts of older sets, cube drafts and big multiplayer games including commander and arch enemy. If you don’t know how to play, then someone will be on hand to lend you a deck and show you the ropes. The cube is available at most saturday sessions (cube is a custom made box of the most powerful cards, that can be used to play draft and sealed. If you’ve never tried it before, it can be a ton of fun!)

Lastly, if anyone is interested in taking up the mantle of Card Games Warden, let us know by emailing ds.games.society@dur.ac.uk
