A community-wide effort is on-going to establish a new NERC-funded directed programme to undertake integrated, multi-scale and multidisciplinary investigation of subduction zone dynamics and processes. A two-page outline concept note was presented to the NERC in March 2006 which secured funding for a community Town Meeting. The concept note can be found at this link as a pdf format document. |

on Friday 7th July 2006 hosted by the Department of Earth Sciences,
