Term II: Philosophical Issues in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences

This course explores a range of philosophical issues that arise in the context of modern scientific inquiry. The first part of the course focuses on philosophical issues in the biological and biomedical sciences. These issue fall into three topics: (i) evolution, genes, and adaptation, (ii) biology and human behaviour, and (iii) biomedicine.
