The 2018 Powder Diffraction & Rietveld Refinement School will be held at Durham University from the afternoon from the afternoon of Sunday 8th April to Thursday 12th of April 2018.
The cost of the course will be ~£400 for PhD students, ~£500 for PDRAs and ~£700 for industrial and academic staff. This fee includes registration, 4 nights' accommodation in en-suite single rooms, all meals and all teaching materials.
To apply for a place on the School please complete the form below when application opens. Please don't send any money until you have been offered a place. Submission of an application form does not guarantee your place on the course. The number of places is limited and in case of over-subscription the organisers will prioritise applications to achieve a balance between institutions, research groups and disciplines.
Thanks to financial support from the IUCr and others, we will offer a limited number of bursaries to overseas applicants, which will help with local expenses. There is no financial support available for travel costs.
The deadline for applications is 19 January 2018. Places will be offered by email in early February. Once you have been offered a place we will request payment by 28 February 2018. If for any reason you wish to withdraw your application please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Please read the following instructions for completing the form very carefully. The applications are received and entered into a database in an automated way, and you will not receive an acknowledgement of receipt. However, you must adhere to the following instructions to ensure that your application is correctly received and archived:
