Program

Symposium themes

The meeting is based around three themes:
  1. Complex processes of sediment dynamics over (relatively) short time scales;
  2. Complex patterns/trends of sediment dynamics over (relatively) long time scales; and
  3. Complex sediment dynamics across multiple scales.

Each theme will have keynote speakers, follow-up discussion, a poster session (see Registration page for how to submit an abstract) and a “campfire” discussion.

Details of the Keynote Speakers and Abstracts can be found here.

The purpose of the campfire discussion is to draw broad conclusions over the current advances and challenges facing the discipline. Campfire sessions will be set in a laid-back environment, simulating a campfire storytelling time. No campfire singing necessary! Facilitators will introduce a topic and then drive the discussion but not the content itself. The sessions are open to all delegates.

At the start of each themed poster session, the lead author will give a 2-minute talk to introduce their poster. Authors are asked to prepare powerpoint slides, save them to a pen drive and upload these to our PC before the session. Authors should aim to present the essence of their work in a maximum of 2 minutes.
