Following on from the success of the 2017 Student Digital Experience Tracker project, Durham opted into the (renamed) JISC Student Digital Experience Insight Survey for the year 2018-19. This survey questioned students about their experience under four headings:
- The digital lives of learners
- Digital at the institution
- Digital at the course level
- Student attitudes to digital
Jisc’s sector-wide findings based on over 37,000 responses from 83 institutions are now available.
The responses from Durham students have been compiled into a report that follows this structure.
As before we delivered two versions of the survey: one aimed at distance learners, the other aimed at on-campus students.
The 2018 Durham report is available to all Durham University staff and students.
Summaries of the findings and our analytical methods have also been shared at a range of local and national events (including the 2018 University Learning & Teaching Conference, the Three Rivers Conference and a series of events organised by Jisc).
The Durham part of this presentation starts at slide 23.
