Welcome to the NNESMO homepage.

A postgraduate course aimed at introducing numerical techniques for solving ordinary and partial differential equations with a range of applications from NERC disciplines.

NNESMO 2019 will run from Monday 7th to Friday 11th January 2019.

Unfortunately, the course is now full and we cannot take any more registrations. We apologize for this, and hope to run the course again in future years.

Logistics

The 2019 course will be fully funded by NERC, including accommodation and all meals. Travel to/from Durham is funded for those travelling from the UK (reimbursement is only up to maximum of 2nd-class advanced rail ticket price, and receipts must be kept.)

About the Course

This fully funded course is aimed at early career researchers in Earth Sciences and all related areas.

Prerequisites:

A basic knowledge of MATLAB is recommended before the start of this course.
