Departmental Responsabilities

Teaching

Fourth year undergraduate course in Optical Devices, postgraduate course in Optical Spectroscopy, Level 1 Discovery Labs, Level 2 Electronics Labs, and Level 4 project supervision.

PhD supervision: Roberto Nobuyasu, Rongjuan Huang and Piotr Pander.

Administration

Chair of the Health & Safety Committee, sharing the international coordinator role for physics, member of the Level 1 paper committee.

Research Interests

My research is broadly focused on the area of spectroscopy and photophysics of organic molecules for optoelectronic and photonic applications. These cover materials for OLEDs, OPV, antimicrobial surfaces, sensors, and imaging among other topics. More specifically, I am currently working with TADF small molecules and polymers, heavy-metal complexes, RT-phosphorescence in metal-free organic emitters.
