Albert Park

  

(L) Albert Park, Middlesborough, in early February, and (R) part of the Nelson collection in the nearby Dorman Museum. The bequest was conditional on the collection being kept together on public display, which has no doubt helped preserve this classic Victorian museum room from “modernisation”.

Kirkstall Abbey

Forest of Bowland

Settle market place, on the way to a weekend break in late February staying in the Plough Inn, Wigglesworth.

  

The Forest of Bowland is scenic part of Lancashire which is largely overlooked by tourists heading to the Lake District or Yorkshire. (L) Slaidburn is one of the few settlements of any size. (R) View towards the iconic Pendle Hill.

Not the best way to end the weekend, with the car written off by a not-so-careful Audi driver.
