The Daphne Jackson Trust has a Fellowship opportunity that will be hosted and sponsored by Durham University and Pharmacy Research UK. Please see the advert attached. The Fellowship will be held in the School of Medicine, Pharmacy & Health.
Daphne Jackson Fellowships are unique and provide the opportunity for individuals to return to research following a career break of 2 or more years, taken for family, caring or health reasons. The part-time Fellowship allows the individual to balance a bespoke retraining programme with a challenging research project in a suitably supportive environment.
Nine out of ten Daphne Jackson Fellows are women returning to research following a break to bring up young children.
Daphne Jackson Fellowships can help support universities’ commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace and provide the flexibility, mentoring and retraining that individuals need to successfully return their research careers following a break of 2 or more years.
At least two Daphne Jackson Fellows have already successfully returned to their research careers at Durham University and they have inspiring stories to tell. I can put you in touch with these former Fellows who, through their stories/experiences, could inspire others to return to research at Durham.
The deadline for preliminary applications for the Fellowship is 31st May 2015.
Do let me know if you require further information, and I look forward to hearing from you.
