Living out can make getting involved in college life seem a little harder, but it doesn’t have to be that way!
Stephenson Central is a great meeting point for those who do not live in college accommodation to socialise and spend time together away from studying. It’s a friendly environment where you can relax, play some pool, have a game of ping pong or just watch TV with some food and drink from the Stevo Central Cafe. Equally you can use the space to work in a less formal environment than the library by using the Stevo Central computer room or meeting room. Throughout the year, Stephenson college is the host of many amazing events that you wont want to miss out on! From nights out in local venues or other cities, to day trips to amazing places, there will be lots of events this year that enable you to get involved in college life, meet other people and just enjoy yourself in a way that’s convenient for you.
There are lots of ideas that are coming through the livers out committee to make living out as easy as possible and throughout the year we are hoping to host lots of events. An example being a monthly livers out lunch, where we can meet up for a coffee and work together in the library rather than all studying separately at home. What’s important to remember is you’re not alone, there are many of us studying here that find it hard to engage in extracurricular activities and together we can be as involved as we want to be!
If you have any questions regarding living out, please contact your Livers Out Officer, Alastair Paterson on firstname.lastname@example.org and she will do all she can to help you feel involved in college life!
