Over the last year we’ve seen a number of societies grow and we anticipate the development of many more new societies in the future. Queen’s Campus societies are available for anyone at the University to join. There is sometimes a minimal membership fee to cover venue and equipment costs. Queen’s Campus societies are developed and controlled entirely by students.
Stephenson College JCR encourages all types of activities to become established as societies. Some societies cover both Colleges at Queen’s but others are exclusively for Stephenson students only.
If you have an interest and want to turn it into something more, then why not look into making it into a society. For example, last year students at Stephenson College established ‘Running Soc,’ ‘The Great Stevo Bake Off Soc’ and many more! So if you have a passion for something and a society for it does not already exist, let us know and we can see if we can start one.
