At Stephenson College Tennis, all players are welcome. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced player – you are more than welcome to join our team. Tennis is played on Wednesday afternoons at the local gym David Lloyds which is about 10-15 min walk from campus. The sessions consists of all sorts of tennis games, and some technical training. The lessons are being held by an experienced tennis coach from David Lloyds, who also brings equipment including tennis racquets. The courts are indoors therefore, tennis will be played every week in warm dry conditions. The sessions last two hours and the courts will be shared with John Snow, so here is a good way to interact with the other college at Queen’s Campus. Matches against other Durham University Colleges will take place after Easter. The college only has one team consisting of three doubles pairs – men’s, women’s and mix. Tennis trials will take place within the first two weeks of term.
