The Committee

^ President

My name is Ruth and I am MCR President.

I am studying for a masters in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine. I was an Undergraduate at the University of Exeter where I studied Medical Sciences. I am a Christian and enjoy rowing, writing and singing in my (increasingly limited) free time.

As MCR President I hope to be an inclusive and open leader who is always available for questions. I really want to encourage all members of the MCR to integrate, and to encourage co-operation between the MCR and JCR as well as continuing integration with the SCR.

I am very excited to work with the Exec this year, and hope that together we can work to make Van Mildert an even more welcoming and inclusive community. The motto of the college is ĎNot for yourselvesí I hope that as a committee we will be helping to promote this through our work this year.

If you have any questions about Van Mildert or any of our events, please do not hesitate to contact me on the email address provided.

Van Mildert is a great college and weíre so lucky this year to have such a large group of postgraduates living in. It should be a fun year!
