"To Promote participation in and appreciation of visual and performing arts within college,
The Collingwood music room consists of two practice rooms, with a piano, clavinova and a drum kit, and is available for use by anyone in college. We are also one of three lucky colleges to have a high-quality recording studio, which requires an induction from the Music Room Officer. Whether you play an instrument and want somewhere to practice, or fancy having a go at recording your own music, it's definitely worth using these facilities! To find out more contact Tom at
The Collingwood musical is the highlight of the Arts calendar at Collingwood. It's a huge event involving a large number of students, from technical crew and production team to band and cast members, and is always a fantastic amount of fun for all involved. This year we staged Our House - the Madness musical. It was probably one of our most ambitious musicals in many years, but we were graced by record audiences and excellent reviews, confirming our status as one of the best colleges for drama. What is great about being in a college production is that you don't have to be an experienced star of the stage to get involved; many of our cast this year were treading the boards for the first time! Please come and see us at the fresher's fair, and we'll see you at the auditions!
