We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Revd Dr Will Foulger as Director of Mission and Evangelism at Cranmer Hall, St John’s College, Durham.
Before starting training at Cranmer Hall in 2013, Will was a secondary school teacher in Kent; during his time at Cranmer Hall he undertook doctoral studies entitled ‘Present in Every Place: The Church of Engand and the Parish Principle’. Since 2016 Will has been serving as curate of Trinity Church Nottingham, a new church plant in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, where he has also had responsibility for supporting the training of diocesan interns.
Commenting on his appointment, Revd Dr Philip Plyming, Warden of Cranmer Hall, said, ‘I am delighted that Will is returning to Durham, this time as a member of our growing staff team. Cranmer Hall has a longstanding commitment to teaching and research in Mission and Evangelism; Will is an outstanding young scholar in this field, but also brings real-life ministry experience in a vibrant church. His appointment means that Cranmer Hall will be well-equipped to support students and researchers from all church backgrounds in playing their part in the mission of God.’
Will Foulger added, ‘I’m really excited to be taking on this role. Cranmer Hall has a vision to see people equipped and emboldened for ministry that will bring more of God’s Kingdom in the nation at this time, and it’s a privilege to play a part in that.’
Will is due to take up the role this coming June.
