Cranmer Hall, St John’s College Part-time Administrative Assistant
The College: Cranmer Hall is an Anglican Theological College based in St John’s College. We train people for ministry in the Church of England and in Free Churches and it is important that the successful applicant should be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the College and be prepared to play a supportive role in this training.
As the Administrative Assistant you will provide a first class service to academic staff and to the undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in the College.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will often be dealing with a variety of requests from staff and students and you will need to process data accurately and efficiently, as well as undertaking clerical tasks to agreed timescales. With a good general education (at least 5 GCSE passes with Grade C or above or equivalent, including English), you should enjoy working as part of a team within a very busy office and be able to prioritise your workload with minimum supervision.
Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week, days to be arranged. The post carries 27 days discretionary holiday (pro rata).
Remuneration: Salary is fixed at Grade 3 on the St John’s College Pay Scale (currently £17,764 pro rata). St John’s College operates a Group Personal Pension Plan.
Start date: 1st August 2018
Terms of contract: Fixed term for 4 months
