3rd Durham BB Users Conference

Blackboard, ‘My Institution’: sharing good practice

16th & 17th December 2002
Hatfield College, Durham University, Durham

This year’s event follows on from two earlier conferences, ‘Successful Implementation of a Learning Environment’ and ‘VLE: Valuable Learning Experience’. The University of Durham Learning Technologies Team was delighted to promote a third annual conference for users of Blackboard™. This year’s event was aimed at disseminating the accumulating expertise of learning technologists and technical and academic staff in the numerous institutions across the UK and abroad, many of whom are now into their third year of a full implementation of Blackboard™ across campus. The focus turned to real experiences in classrooms around the country – hoping to both stem the re-inventions of wheels and begin to share ideas, from technical tips and tricks to pedagogic good practice. In order to bring together as wide as possible an overview of the achievements, this year we mixed papers, invited speakers, submitted presentation and hands-on workshops.
