The Institute hosted an annual study day for AS/A2 level
students from 1983 to 2007. This was held in Durham City and students chose
from around forty lectures given by lecturers from the universities and colleges
of the region, covering topics relevant to the AS/A2 level syllabuses in Religious
Studies, Philosophy or Ethics.
In March 2007 we welcomed some 770 students and staff from 33 schools and colleges, some as far afield as Alnwick, Clitheroe, Knaresborough, Leeds and York. Owing to financial and staffing constraints this was the final NEICE Sixth Form Study Day
