High winds in February caused the poorly-secured external radio antenna cable to wear and snap. A 32 pence line coupler and a length of wondrous self-amalgamating tape from the electronics workshops saved the day.

The pointing was redone a few years ago using an appropriate lime mortar for for the stonework. Unfortunately the mortar is too weak to hold the cable ties and the sandstone flakes when the ties are hammered in. For the time being, the television and radio aerials are just taped together to stop them flying around…
