Views of Upper Nidderdale. (L) From the beautifully sited churchyard at Middlesmoor. Although one of the Yorkshire dales, Nidderdale is not part of the national park, and has had to settle for the designation of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (“Any Other Nice Bit”), perhaps because its large reservoirs weren’t judged to be scenic enough.
