4th edition of the Lumiere light festival

Light Cloud was the most interactive installation.

Red House, projected on the Old Shire Hall.

Complex Meshes, projected on the vaulted ceiling of the cathedral nave.

Fogscape was the most atmospheric, with searchlights and banks of fog rolling across the Wear, in a reworking of the tale of St Cuthbert’s mist concealing Durham from German bombers in 1942.

Garden of Light in the cathedral close, previously spotted in Bradford City Park.

Litre of Light in the cathedral cloisters was assembled from thousands of plastic bottles.

Les Lumineoles in the market place.
