Grange-over-Sands
Pictures from a weekend in Grange-over-Sands in mid March. (L) The Victorian promenade, (R) looking over the ermm… “sands” to Morecambe Bay.
The slightly odd Hampsfell Hospice was built in the mid 19th C by the vicar of nearby Cartmel as a shelter at the top of Hampsfell. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best weather for views from the top!

National Railway Museum, York, in late March. (L) The Flying Scotsman. (R) Class 55 “Deltic” diesel locomotive from the early 1960s.
Nostell Priory
