The weather at the latest edition of the Lumiere light festival was sadly unforgiving, but some favourites made a welcome re-appearance: (L) one of the many installations in For the Birds, in the Botanical Gardens, and (R) the miners’ shirts filling the nave of the cathedral.

The “Druids Temple” on the Swinton Estate is in reality an 18th C folly. The weather was unkind during this weekend away is Masham, but the odd glimpse of sunshine (R) was enough to transform the view!
