Academic background
Max Parker received his Engineering Doctor (Eng.D.) degree in Power Electronics, Drives and Machines from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, in 2009, with research carried out in the School of Engineering, Durham University and sponsored by the New and Renewable Energy Centre (NaREC) in Blyth, UK. The work concentrated on the development of a fault-tolerant power electronic converter to interface large direct-drive wind turbines to the grid. Previously to this he completed a masters degree in electronic engineering at Durham University.
